Me (discussing my tattoos): “…these are ok… but I want something beautiful and badass.”
Samantha: “You should get… me… riding a pterodactyl!”
Me: “…and the pterodactyl is breathing fire!”
Samantha: “No, I’m breathing fire.”
On Repeat.
“I’d like to see us together
I’d like to lay my head low
I need to lean on a soft one
and bring the spin of the world to a halt now.”
Maybe the best thing SNL has done this year (at least that’s what the punk part of my soul thinks)
This gave me a good laugh. Old dudes rocking it. To quote mr. Manley.. “This will be our future.”
Q: how will i know which house is yours?
A: it’s painted periwinkle and has a human sized bird cage in the yard- along with a giant egg/womb covered in tar and filled with dirt and there’s a cardboard cut out of Angry Hulk in the outside window. you can’t miss it.
true story.
It is true. I can vouch for this.
Beakers (via Mark.Weaver)
Seriously, It’s so sick how amazing Mark Weaver is… and he’s based in Atlanta… maybe some of his badassery will float into the local atmosphere and find it’s way to me.
I’ve been listening to lots of Aloha, getting ready for their new album that comes out in March. Some Echoes has always been my least favorite Aloha record, but I decided to give it another shot in the spirit of being a completist. This song just hit me. The simple, yet charming melody and then the lyrics just sunk in. It sometimes takes context and the right time for something you’ve heard before to grab you just the way it should. This song gives me a bit of much needed hope that I’ve been searching for lately.
“Things that were once in great supply
I have to learn how to survive
Knowing what’s all around me
Forgetting the things I’ve carried
But I know someday they’ll find me”
